![]() "Run script from " -> fixes your session.Īll that being said, it's on slow cook. It's also intersting for hotfix or remote support. But a website for 3rd party scripts and easy ways to download/install them is also on the looong ToDo list. Currently scripts are saved with the session so sharing the session does the trick already. Perhaps the complexity of such scripts could attain a marketable level, as add-ons, or script plugins. (08-30-2016, 10:42 AM)jonetsu Wrote: The sharing of LUA scripts is also a very good idea. You'd use a different sccript for different settings. ![]() (08-30-2016, 10:42 AM)jonetsu Wrote: For instance, I could have some favorite EQ settings in 32C that I can choose from and apply to tracks when needed and not as part of an initial template.Įven without dedicated GUI, that's possible. Scripts do not yet have the means to show an interactive GUI, but that'll come given time. (08-30-2016, 10:42 AM)jonetsu Wrote: With a user interface, they could be launched at any time. There are also "hook/callback" scripts which are triggered by a specific event (such as session-open) and DSP Scripts which are like Plugins. Currently "actions" are all non-interactive like most Mixbus operations (split, copy etc.) and can operate on the selection if needed. One can bind "action scripts" to buttons and keyboard shortcuts. Yes, the description of this would fit better in the user guide than a video. Neat ! It's not programming that's the concern as I earn a living for quite a few years developing Linux software for embedded products, but instead to see how it can be used, what's the domain of action, to perhaps have a few ideas or even examples just to quick start w/o having to discover everything from scratch. For example a power-user might write a script to automatically add the "XT-TG Tom Gate" plugin to any track with the word "tom" in the track name. This is 32C 3.6.0 64-bit on Linux Mint 17. ![]() There is no need to go through all of those motions though: only selecting the tracks will show that not all of them are bordered in red. Without any groups being made nor any tracks assigned to mixbusses, and having all tracks visible on the same screen (no scrolling) in the mixer view, clicking on the first track in the mixer view, then holding shift and clicking on the last, then right-clicking on the XT-EQ setting in the Favorite Plugins left pane and choosing 'Add at the top' will only add to certain tracks, not all of them. Did a bit of organization of the tracks, eg. I have a new session in which 11 tracks were loaded. Selecting all tracks in 32C does not work so well, though. Use a plugin EQ when focusing on one track, for cleanup and the mixer-strip EQ for "mixing", because you can see all the tracks working together. This will certainly need a video or two to demonstrate ! It should allow all kinds of neat operations such as the ones explained here. You can trigger those actions from keybindings as well. So this will allow you (or other users) to make and share little "action scripts" that do things.
